The Foundation for Child Development

Meetings and Convenings

The Annual Forum began in 1997, as a venue to engage the FCD Council with the work of the Foundation. The Forums helped shape many of the programs FCD supports today, including Universal Prekindergarten, the Child Well-Being Index (CWI), the Young Scholars Program, and our PK-3 Initiative.

In recent years, the purpose of the Annual Forum has evolved. It is now an event designed to link FCD's work directly to policy, and to educate policymakers about our programs. In an effort to reach out to a broader policymaking base, we held the 2006 Forum in Washington, D.C.
