Student Mobility: Exploring the Impacts of Frequent Moves on Achievement

This report focuses on the high rates of student mobility, during and between school years or grades, especially among low-income children at risk for educational underachievement.  Understanding the impact of student mobility on learning, the report concludes, must take into account children’s life circumstances, as well as education and social policies that support students when moves are necessary.  Priorities for research and policy directions are identified.
